The Curious Canine offers its students a wide range of training classes to suit your needs. Please call the office at (978) 537-2475 if you need further assistance.

Below is a description of what we can offer:

Puppy Classes:

Help my puppy is biting what do I do? How do I housetrain my puppy should I paper train or not? I heard I should socialize and train my puppy early is this correct? These are very common concerns for new puppy owners. If you have these concerns then The Puppy Class is for you, See Below:

  • Our Puppy Class is geared to puppies that are 8-16 weeks of age at the start of class. You will work on basic obedience commands as well a talk about puppy issues such as biting, growling, housetraining issues, and anything else that you may have issues with. We also have puppy playtime during each class! It is very important to socialize your puppy with other dogs and people during their first year, and our puppy playtime offers them a fun opportunity to do just that!

Does your puppy bite, growl or is in need of learning basic commands? If so enroll in this class. We will provide you with the tools to gain control over your puppy and create a trusting relationship that will last a lifetime.

This is a 4-week session that will meet for 1 hour each week.
Cost: $80.00 for the 4 week session ( Discounts are given if you complete Puppy Class and enroll into the Beginner Level class upon graduation).

Beginner Classes:

My Puppy is over 16 weeks of age which class can he get into? My dog just completed puppy class, is the right class for him? I just adopted my dog what class should he go into? My dog is older where does he belong? It sounds like the Beginner Class is the answer, See Below:

Our Beginner Classes is offered to dogs 8 weeks and above.

  • Does you dog pull on leash and make going for a walk difficult?
  • Does you dog get over excited when they meet new people and jump?
  • Do you want your dog to come when called?
  • Do you want to have your dog be a loved member of your family?

If you answered YES to any of the above questions then this is the class you want to sign up for.

We will cover:

  • Sit, Down, and Stand
  • Sit Stays and Down Stays
  • Proper People Greeting
  • Loose Leash Walking
  • The Leave It Command as well a Drop
  • Wait
  • Come when Called
  • Hand Signals For Distance Control
  • Plus more

This class meets for a 6 Week session for one hour each week.
Cost: $140.00

Advanced Beginner and Novice Classes:

I recently graduated from the Beginner Class, so what is next for my dog? I want to bring my dog back for a Re-Fresher Class, can he start in the Advanced Beginner Class again? The Advanced Beginner and upper classes are perfect for continuing your dogs training, they are fun and challenging for both you and your dog. See Below:
These classes are available to you and your dog after you have completed the Beginner Level Class.

These classes add a lot of distractions and distance to the stay commands. We begin off-Leash heeling work and out of sight stays. We start to prepared you to take the CGC Test if that is a goal that you may have in mind. These are perfect classes to take when you want to Re-Fresh your dogs skills.

Classes meet for a 6 Week session for one hour each week.
Cost: $115.00 for each session

Breed Handling Classes:

Our Breed Handling lessons will get your dog ready for your next dog show in no time. Stacking, Baiting and Gaiting will all be covered in the positive and friendly atmosphere.

Lessons are in 1/2-hour Private sessions.
Cost: $15.00 per session.
Call the office to set up a time for your lesson!

Agility for Fun Classes:

Our Agility For Fun Classes are held on Friday evenings and gets you and your dog familiar with Basic Agility Equipment. Your dog will be jumping over jumps and through the Tire before you know it, plus you will be working on with the weave poles, dog walk and the tunnel. This class gives you the opportunity to try Agility in a fun and non-competitive atmosphere.

This is a 4 week Session that meets for 45 minutes each week.

Cost: $80.00 for 4 weeks.

Pre-Agility Classes:

Pre-Agility Classes are coming soon so watch for further details!

Private Lessons:

Private lessons are available if our class times do not suit your needs. 1 Hour sessions and ½ Hour sessions are available. Please call the office to set up an appointment.
Some students may have special needs and a class setting may not suit them. We offer private lessons so that we can assist you in achieving your goals for you dog.

Daycare Plus Training:

Are you just to busy to fit training the dog into your busy schedule? If so, we can help. We can train your dog while you are away at work!

Call the office to learn how we can help you out with all your dog behavior needs.
